Aggressive Environments
This unique composite bussbar insulator was developed to
fixture and insulate 300 pound cathodes in huge electrowinning
operations. This process has revolutionized the way copper
and other metals are extracted in mining operations worldwide.
The insulator, or capboard, sits atop a tank of sulfuric
acid and must withstand heavy compressive loads and insulate
bussbars carrying high kilowatt energy levels.
